If you are moving to a new location, here are some tips to make your printer move easier. Before powering the machine off, make sure you have no print jobs going to the printer and that it is in ready status. This is a check to make sure the machine is operational before you move. Power the machine down and disconnect the cables. To make assembling the printer easier and more efficient, take a picture of the placement of the consumables. Then remove the toner cartridges and other consumables in the machine. For color printers, some models have a removable transfer belt. Make sure to remove that as well. Wrap and mark each consumable separately in bubble wrap. You will also want to make sure the printer itself is wrapped appropriately. When you arrive at the new location, do not use sharp tools to unpack the consumables as one small nick could damage it.
